The corporation’s name is derived from the Great-grand mother (Vikisa) and her daughter, grand-mother (Mpetane) and encapsulates the Company’s vision of loyalty and respect.
Founder & Managing Director
Zeneth Lubi Mabuza
Lubi was born on the 17 March 1986 in the Limpopo Province, Burgersfort in Riba Cross area. From a young age, he showed great leadership capabilities by being part of the school soccer and athletic teams head boy of his School- Harry Oppenheimer Agricultural High School. He has always believed in hard work and commitment as a road to success. He always looked for opportunities during his school years cleaning yards, looking after livestock(Herder) and helping his mom at the farm.
Family & Education
He excelled at school which led him to an opportunity to go and study BSc(Hons) Degree in Geology at University of Venda in 2005. His only parent (mother) held numerus domestic and farmworker jobs to keep the family going, always being an example of leadership. consistency, hard work, dedication and loyalty to her only son and child.
This is where Lubi built his character and also his faith in God. Lubi was raised by his mother only and taught that a person’s impoverished circumstances or past should never determine his or her future. Timeless values including respect, hard work, trust, helping others, believing in God and yourself, were also taught at an early stage in his life.
Start Of Mining Career
Through hard work and good results, Lubi was recruited by Dilokong Chrome Mine (now Cheetah Chrome Mine) in 2011 which started his career in mining, as an Engineering Leaner and in 2012 was awarded a full time bursary to finish his Geology Degree, completed and the mine closed in 2015, and in 2016 October he joined Black Chrome Mine as a Quality Control Officer,2017 March promoted to a junior Geologist and in 2018 June to a Mine Geologist until the mine closed in 2021.
Start of the Company
He decided in 2022 to start his own company, the company that is today known as Vikisa Mpetane Trading and Projects (VKM) he had humble beginnings by turning his garage into an office and workshop.
